Oxoid is to host a seminar on the Prevention, Control and Detection of Mollicutes in Pharmaceutical Processes at the Beagle Building, Leiden, the Netherlands, on 6 November 2008.
The one-day seminar is being run in conjunction with Mycoplasma Experience, and will provide insights and current thinking on mycoplasmas, best practice in detection and filtration, aspects applicable to media fill trials and the impact of regulation on testing.
The agenda will cover: detection of mollicutes using NAT/PCR methods; filtration technology as a solution to reduce the risk of mycoplasma contamination in biotech processes; Acholeplasma laidlawii, the hidden menace; changes to aseptic filling validations and the impact on media regulatory aspects of mycoplasma testing; and case study presentations.
