Fisher Scientific has released further details about its Science World laboratory experience set to take place at Sandown Park's Surrey Hall on 6 November 2008.
The company, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, said Science World provides the scientific community with the opportunity to see product developments and speak with suppliers firsthand.
The event will also provide practical insights to anyone involved in the specification or purchase of laboratory equipment, chemicals and consumables.
Delegates will have a choice of seminars and access to 80 exhibitors, all balanced with free entertainment, lunch, refreshments, prize draws and competitions.
Among the 80 suppliers exhibiting at the event are: 3M; Thermo Scientific Abgene; Bibby Scientific; Corning Life Sciences; Eppendorf UK; Hanna Instruments; IKA Werke and Co; Kimberley-Clark Professional; Mettler Toledo; Millipore (UK); Sterilin; and Whatman International, part of GE Healthcare.
As well as giving free entry to the event, pre-registration before 24 October will ensure free entry into a prize draw to win a retro DAB radio.
All attendees are eligible for another prize draw for GBP500 worth of equipment of their choice from the Fisher Scientific catalogue range.
On arrival, visitors will receive a portfolio or city bag containing Fisher Scientific discount vouchers, details of competitions, special offers and free gifts to collect during the day, as well as a free race-day ticket to Sandown Park.
Sandown Park is located 10 minutes from the M25 and 30 minutes from central London.
There is extensive free parking on site and it is easily accessible by rail.
Fisher Scientific will be running free coach transport from selected major UK sites for groups of attendees of 10 or more.
