Entries are now open for poster abstracts for the 2009 Institute of Clinical Research (ICR) Annual Spring Conference and Exhibition, which will focus on essential updates and lively debates.
The Conference and Exhibition - taking place on 17 and 18 March 2009 at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham - is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2009.
To mark the occasion the ICR has enhanced the format of the event to make it more interactive and address more member questions.
The poster subject format has been updated, now with three categories for entrants to submit their entries - innovation, research and operational.
Winners will be picked by a judging committee on the first day of the conference; successful authors will receive a cash prize and their posters will be featured in the ICR's member magazine, CRfocus and on its website.
Susan Ollier, chair of the ICR and a member of the abstract judging committee, said: 'We are looking for abstract submissions that are original and creative, clearly illustrating the subject matter and featuring focused content.
'In addition to presenting the poster abstract, the authors will be asked to informally present their posters to the judges and answer any questions we may have.' All poster abstracts should be submitted via the ICR website before the deadline of Friday 19 December and authors will be notified in January if their abstract has been accepted for presentation.
