Otava and Sigma-Aldrich have signed an agreement to jointly develop the Nancy-520 fluorescent stain for dsDNA visualisation on agarose gels.
Nancy-520 exhibits high sensitivity and less than 1ng of DNA per band can be visualised with the dye.
Using Nancy-520, DNA stain researchers can generate quality electrophoretic gels images in a highly reproducible manner.
This stain can be used both with UV and VIS transillumination.
It can be applied for both pre- and post-electrophoretic staining and has an easy, fast, and robust staining procedure.
In addition, Nancy-520 can be used to determine dsDNA concentrations in solution with a linear range between 0 and 2 ug/mL DNA.
