Adept Scientific has announced the release of Alion Science and Technology's Micro Saint Sharp (MSS) version 3.0.
MSS is an interactive workflow simulation and optimisation software that allows users to visually model and improve workflow processes with extreme detail and accuracy.
Using an intuitive graphical user interface and flow chart approach to modelling, MSS 3.0 offers enhanced power and flexibility to help answer 'what if?' questions and data analysis.
New features allow the user to automatically represent resource- and capacity-limited processes.
The Immediates Windows Export runtime-only simulations allow the user to view, edit and print data using a process diagram, tree-view or grid-view debug models.
Sue Archer, senior vice-president and manager of operational solutions for Alion, said: 'Any process that can be represented by a flow chart can easily be modelled using Micro Saint Sharp.
'This upgraded version should prove to be even more valuable for users involved in military planning and operations, human factors, health care, manufacturing and the service industry.' Users can view their models as network diagrams or as 2D or 3D animations.
The Gold version of MSS 3.0 includes Optquest, a tool that automatically optimises processes, and Alion's Animator 3D software, which allows the creation of a virtual environment with three-dimensional moving images.
MSS 3.0 comes with a large clip-art library and numerous 3D objects, allowing users to quickly build realistic and detailed scenes and create reusable models of their own.
