Activotec has delivered a PLS Organic Synthesizer to a Swiss biopharmaceutical company.
The synthesiser will perform high throughput solution and solid phase chemistry research.
The Swiss biopharmaceutical company has bought the same item of equipment a few times over the past couple of years.
Its laboratory manager said: 'The Activotec PLS Organic Synthesizer can perform up to 24 reactions simultaneously.
'Accommodating a wide selection of glass solution phase and Teflon solid phase reactors (1 to 50ml), the PLS Organic Synthesizer is the perfect choice for fast lead generation, reaction optimisation, accelerating process development and combinatorial catalysis.' Chris Littlewood, chief executive officer of Activotec, said: 'The PLS Organic Synthesizer was designed for individual chemists to use in their own fume cupboards.
'The unit offers the versatility to be adapted to operate at elevated (up to 150C) or sub-ambient temperatures (-80C).'
