FPT-850 near-infrared, visible and UV transmission probes provide maximum long term reliability under high temperature, thermal shock and aggressive chemistries encountered in many on-line process applications.
The probe has a sealing technique that involves a direct sapphire to metal welded pressure seal.
The only materials in contact with the process are sapphire, high nickel alloys and a thin flash of either gold or PTFE (application dependant); this assures a high degree of chemical resistance.
The high nickel alloy seal is compressed at high pressure prior to welding, providing compliance required to withstand extreme temperature cycling.
This eliminates fatigue and stress failures common with brazed seals and the limited lifetime characteristic of elastomeric seals.
The FPT-850 and 855 have no optical fibres in the probe, ensuring excellent optical stability and long term reliability.
These devices offer reliable long term operation at temperatures up to 400C.
