More than 90 per cent of the 140 000M exhibition space at Achema 2009 has already been booked, despite there still being six months before it starts.
More than 3100 global exhibitors from 50 countries have already booked exhibition space at Achema 2009, the international event for chemical engineering, environmental protection and biotechnology.
Achema 2009 takes place at the Frankfurt Messe in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from 11 to 15 May 2009.
It runs alongside an international congress comprising 900 lectures.
Mike Day, the UK and Ireland representative for Achema, said: 'With less than ten per cent of exhibition space still available, companies need to move swiftly to claim their space at what promises to be next year's premier event.
'Those who act quickly will also benefit from the event's impressive pre-show publicity programme that will roll out during the next six months.
'An Achema 2009 newsletter is scheduled to be distributed widely over the next few weeks.' Achema 2009 is also receiving support from many UK-based professional bodies and government agencies, including the Institution of Chemical Engineers, Gambica and UKTI.
Jacqui Cressey, marketing manager for the IChemE's publications, said: 'IChemE views Achema's delegates as a key audience to engage with about communicating all aspects of chemical, process, biochemical and related engineering.' Gambica, the trade association that represents the interests of companies in the instrumentation, control, automation and laboratory technology industry in the UK, will, with assistance from UK Trade and Investment, continue to support British companies exhibiting at Achema 2009.
There are nearly 180 UK companies booked to exhibit at Achema 2009, 60 of which are in the laboratory technology and instrumentation sector.
