Microstar Laboratories is planning to add new hardware and software to its signal interface (SI) modules.
In 2009, Microstar Laboratories will release SI modules with an ADC on every channel, for simultaneous sampling.
It will also add channel-to-channel isolation to all new products.
New hardware for 4-20 mA current outputs will complement the SI module for current inputs.
And just as onboard intelligence on a DAP allows new uses for existing hardware by adding new software, so adding new FPGA code allows new features to be added to existing hardware designs.
Current plans for 2009 also include a counter/timer option, a quadrature-decoder feature, various filters and other signal conditioning.
