Stemmer Imaging has added two high-resolution cameras to its range of simple colour cameras that connect directly to a VGA monitor and require no computer interface.
The cameras offer 1.3 megapixel (SXGA) and 1.7 megapixel (WSXGA) resolutions and both utilise a removable SD card for image storage.
These cameras are said to be simple to operate and can be set up using an on-screen display.
They are suitable for applications requiring monitoring by a human operator such as microscopy and medical imaging.
Available in versions with 1280 x 1024 or 1680 x 1050 pixels, the cameras allow the image to be frozen at any time and then saved directly onto a removable SD memory card.
A remote control for saving the image is included with the camera.
Full control of RGB colour, brightness and contrast is provided, together with 'one push' auto-exposure and white balance.
Eight independently adjustable crosshairs can also be displayed to highlight features of interest within the image.
There are a variety of custom graticules available on orders of more than 50 units.
