These state of the art incubators feature an exclusive lift-out shaker platform which accommodates a wide range of flask clamps, test tube racks and a microtiter plate clamp
Sheldon Manufacturing says there are many changes for 2005 to its line of controlled temperature equipment.
The company has just released a new brochure showcasing all of the new features offered in the Shellab line of shaking incubators.
These state of the art incubators feature an exclusive lift-out shaker platform which accommodates a wide range of flask clamps, test tube racks and a microtiter plate clamp.
To support the loads over many years of use, four load-bearing positions are incorporated for optimal weight distribution.
For maximum load flexibility, the unique counter-balanced weighting system (SI6 and SI6R) is adjustable to accommodate off-centre loads, varying capacities and stroke lengths.
The units will perform a complete range of shaking executions from gentle to vigorous shaking and everything in between, 30-400RPM.
Safety is built in for the operator and samples, says Sheldon.
Controls are microprocessor for tight uniformity with a key pad calibration.
Alarms are provided for temperature, RPM and time.
Over-temperature protection is provided by an independent safety thermostat, which is user adjustable.
A safety switch halts shaker rotation when the door is open.
New for 2005 is an optional chiller accessory for the model SI4 shaking incubator.
This accessory allows the user to extend the range of the SI4 to achieve below-ambient temperatures with the addition of an appropriate chilling circulator (sold separately).
