John Morris Scientific has introduced Cole Parmer's Picospin, a portable, miniature benchtop NMR spectrometer designed to expand the availability of NMR spectroscopy for a wide range of applications.
The unit occupies a small fraction of the space of a conventional NMR spectrometer and does not require specialised knowledge or training for operation.
The 45MHz Picospin spectrometer resolves proton chemical shifts with a resolution of 100 parts per billion using a very small sample volume of less than 20 micro litres.
Liquid samples are injected into an internal capillary of the device via front-panel fittings.
The complete liquid-phase proton NMR system includes permanent magnet, transmitter, receiver, data acquisition, programmable pulse sequencer, Ethernet interfaces and intuitive web-based control.
Cole Parmer is a complete single-source supplier for all laboratory instrumentation and consumables, as well as water, industrial and environmental monitoring.
