Porvair Filtration Group is supplying an academic institution in Beijing, China, with a self-cleaning, high-pressure helium-filtration system.
The instrument will be used in the establishment's fuel-handling system within its developmental high-temperature, gas-cooled nuclear reactor.
Porvair is involved in virtually every step of the nuclear fuel-production process, including uranium-concentrate and spent-fuel reprocessing, the production of uranium and plutonium oxides, the treatment of off gases and the protection of HEPA banks.
The company's filtration products are also used in the venting of fluidised bed processes, powder transport and collection, glove-box venting and sintering furnace off-gas purification.
