The addition of ammonium chemistry to multiparameter bioanalytical system ensures that cell cultures are kept healthy and viable by eliminating the risk of ammonium build up
Whether for use in biotechnology and pharmaceutical labs, food and beverage processing areas or physiology research, the YSI 7100 MBS is one of the most powerful upgradeable systems available.
The modular design caters for software upgrades and its easily accessible components make cleaning and maintenance easy.
Its core features make this platform a productivity tool for present and future use.
The 7100 measures glucose, glutamate, glutamine, lactate and potassium - and now ammonium - simultaneously from one sample, saving operators valuable time. Using YSI's proven ion selective electrode technology, the new ammonium measurement can be detected in the 10 - 500mg/l range with a precision of 5% to ensure cultures are kept at maximum production and viability.
Other parameters are measured by YSI's immobilised enzyme patented technology where colour-coded membranes can be re-used many times providing an effective yet economical system.
Results are obtained in less than two minutes and data can be downloaded either by RS-232, RS-485, analogue output or an on-board printer option.
Reagent management is made simple by use of the Multitask Intelligence software which provides traceable information on reagent usage, minimises carryover and improves accuracy.
