A series of roadshows where Analytical Technologies will demonstrate the capabilities of the Sebia Capillarys capillary electrophoresis system is planned for 2005
Beginning in January, a number of presentations will be given in the south, Midlands, north of England and the West Country and Wales.
The Scottish venue will coincide with Focus 2005 which is being held in Glasgow in May 2005.
The roadshows are planned to give clinical laboratory staff an opportunity to become familiar with the new technology of capillary electrophoresis.
The system has many advantages over traditional agarose gel electrophoresis systems and will be widely adopted as hospital laboratories replace and upgrade current equipment.
Increased automation cuts workload, reduces errors and ensures consistent results. Interpretation of curves is less subjective and the improved resolution improves detection and quantitation of a paraprotein. Sebia Capillarys helps hospital laboratories provide a more efficient service and releases skilled laboratory staff to perform other tests.
The increasing number of tests being introduced for Capillarys makes it a cost effective choice as more functions can be performed on a single system.
