The PSD completely portable, battery-powered conditioning amplifier and display for strain gauge based sensors such as load cells, pressure transducers, strain, torque and displacement sensors is now available from Celsum Technologies.
Sealed in a robust housing to IP65/NEMA 4, the PSD requires only six keys for operation.
Gross, nett, peak and trough functions may be selected.
The PSD accepts an range of input sensitivities up to 50mV/V, and has a 71/2 digit LCD display, together with annunciators for the range and function selected.
A shunt calibration facility is provided also.
The instrument has two programmable ranges, which are operator selected, and the update rate is selectable between 10ms and two seconds, including the peak/valley capture rate.
Using a pair of alkaline batteries, the PSD will operate with a 350-ohm strain gauge continuously for 35 hours, or up to 5000 hours in low power mode.
