Validated HPLC method for the sample preparation and analysis of fat-soluble vitamins and related micronutrients in human serum
Drawing upon its experience in electrochemical detection for liquid chromatography, ESA has developed a validated HPLC method for the sample preparation and analysis of fat-soluble vitamins and related micronutrients in human serum.
This method can be used to simultaneous determine fat soluble vitamins including retinol (vitamin A), retinyl palmitate, vitamin E, beta-carotene, lutein, lycopene and CoQ10 at the nanogram level using the ESA CoulArray HPLC system.
Offered as an ESA laboratory service, the validated Vitascan procedure is in accordance with Clia 88 and Nist micronutrient measurement QA program protocols.
To ensure the most reliable results using this validated laboratory service, ESA provides customers with useful technical advice. This includes the appropriate time to collect blood samples; blood sampling volumes and procedures; sample handling precautions; stability issues; storage protocols; sample transfer and shipping considerations and precautions to take during sample preparation and analysis.
ESA also offers a separate validated laboratory service for the sample preparation and analysis of the extremely low endogenous levels of vitamin K1 in human serum. Both of the methods are also available under license.
