A new technical brochure is now available from Genetix describing its purpose built low-volume liquid dispensing system - the Aliquot.
The Aliquot has been designed for automated dispensing of reagents, chemicals, reaction mixes and medium in the 1-350ul range making it a possible choice for 1536- 384- and 96-well microplates.
A proprietary fast pressure-timing dispense mechanism allows the Aliquot to fill a 1536-well plate with 1ul in under 30 seconds with a well-to-well CV of approximately 5% - a level of accuracy said to be unsurpassed by any other instrument in its price bracket.
Where a large number of plates are to be handled, an optional microplate stacker can be fitted to the Aliquot, facilitating the convenience of true walkaway automated operation.
Up to 40 Genetix low-profile microplates can be loaded into the stacker and filled quickly and accurately without user interaction.
The Aliquot is small enough to fit into a laminar flow cabinet for sterile dispensing application, and can be controlled remotely using an RS232 port.
With its versatility, fast dispense action, backfilling facility and optional microplate stacker, Aliquot is described as the complete solution to low-volume dispensing needs.
