The first UV/vis spectrophotometer in the world to feature flash disk data transfer comes complete with a large, high resolution display and improved optics
The new U-2800 UV/visible double beam spectrophotometer from Hitachi High-Technologies is the first UV/visible spectrophotometer in the world to feature flash disk data transfer and comes complete with a large, high resolution display and improved optics.
Using flash disk technology via a USB port provides the U-2800 with convenient removable data storage. Available in 16, 32, 64 and 128Mb sizes, the flash disk allows both data and analytical methods to be stored.
The flash disk can then be plugged directly into a PC to transfer the data into Hitachi's well established UV Solutions software for further processing.
An erasure prevention switch helps prevent stored data from accidentally being erased.
The improved optics of the U-2800 now features a bandpass of 1.5nm as standard, making the instrument fully compliant with all Pharmacopoeia requirements. There is also an improved photometric range of -2 to 3 absorbance, for for measurement of more concentrated samples.
The U-2800 is a stand-alone instrument with a large, 640x480 pixel display for use with the integral control software.
However, the instrument is fully compatible with a PC, which allows control to be switched to Hitachi'sUV Solutions control software.
UV Solutions software allows easy generation of macro sequences which will produce customised reports in Word and utilise the full processing capabilities of Excel.
