Provides a simple and effective method for detecting leaks and spills around sensitive equipment turning off pumps or other items in the event of a spill
The OS-250 overflow/spill sensor from Warner Instruments, a Harvard Apparatus company, provides a simple and effective method for detecting leaks and spills around sensitive equipment (such as a microscope, HPLCxs, low pressure columns, cell perfusion systems or any sensitive instrumentation).
In the event of a spill, the integrated, switched power controller can be used to rapidly turn off pumps, perfusion systems, or any item that is plugged into the controller.
When installed, the OS-250 can respond to as little as a few drops of most liquids.
The system features: disposable cutable moisture sensitive mats, audible and visual alarms, 8A switched power supply, rapid response to liquid exposure shut off capability.
The system responds to one to three drops of nanopure H2O, normal saline, ETOH acetone, MeOH, hexane, chloroform, decane and many more.
