The rugged construction of the testers provides an affordable, dependable solution for hardness testing that can be performed in the harshest environments.
Silver series testers are cost-effective, user-friendly testing machines that provide accurate, reliable hardness testing.
The Silver series includes four models: the RA-1 analogue manual regular scale tester, the MRA-1 analogue motorised regular scale tester, the MRD-1 digital regular scale tester, and the MTD-2 twin scale digital tester.
Regular scale models are designed with throat depths of 165mm and accommodate specimens with heights of up to 170mm, whereas the twin scale MTD-2 has a vertical capacity of 280mm [units converted from US to metric - Ed.].
Each unit is equipped with test blocks and a single diamond penetrator; however, the MTD-2 twin digital tester includes two diamond penetrators.
In addition, Instron provides a full two-year warranty on the Silver series.
