Designed for genomic, proteomic, and drug discovery markets, it provides high throughput dispensing of volumes as low as 20 nanolitres
John Morris Scientific offers Gilson's Constellation 1200. Designed for genomic, proteomic, and drug discovery markets, it is said to be ideal for nanolitre-volume liquid handling applications.
It features a 12-tip Z-arm configuration to provide high throughput dispensing of volumes as low as 20 nanolitres. With Gilson's unique dispensing technology, the solenoids do not touch the sample - eliminating a potential source of carryover.
The Constellation 1200 can aspirate from 96-, 384-, and 1536-well microplates or onto Maldi-Tof plates.
This instrument gives the user the option of dispensing with or without an air gap, providing increased flexibility for the specific application.
SmartTip technology uses built-in hardware and software to automatically check the alignment of all twelve probes, both relative to each other and to the microplate locations on the bed.
By using SmartTip technology to automate this process, the Constellation 1200 makes it easy for users to perform complex alignment tasks as part of a routine maintenance program, thereby ensuring the instrument is always operating at peak performance levels.
The positioning plate of the Constellation 1200 holds up to 12 microplates.
The optional Julabo F32-HE heating and refrigerating circulator cools plates to reduce sample evaporation and ensure sample integrity.
The instrument also features a rinse station to reduce carryover.
