Flow chiller is more reliable and cheaper to operate than tap water, providing a constant source of temperature-controlled liquid
The NE6-FC flow chiller, which provides a constant pumped flow of temperature-controlled liquid, is the latest member of Nickel-Electro's Clifton Bio range.
The device is said to be especially useful for cooling applications that previously relied on running tap water - which can be both expensive and subject to temperature variation.
It also provides a useful alternative for counter-cooling Thermo circulating water baths.
Safety features include a float switch which monitors the water level.
When the level falls below a safe working volume, the cooler automatically switches off and a warning indicator and audible alarm alert the user.
This prevents the system running dry.
All immersed components are corrosion resistant to ensure a long working life. The compact NE6-FC has easy-fit fluid connections to inlet and outlet ports, and, with temperature display and controls situated on the same face, it can be positioned under benches.
The unit is fitted with wheels and coasters which can be locked when sited, for easy mobility.
The PID control allows quick, reliable selection and attainment of the desired operating temperature, constantly tuning the liquid temperature and the load.
The NE6-FC gives users a choice of single point temperature control or process control, with two temperatures and a time setting and a clearly visible LED display suitable for all lighting conditions. Melvin Dickson, managing director of Nickel-Electro, says: "We welcome this addition to the Clifton Bio range, and think it will prove essential for many laboratory applications, particularly where space is at a premium.
As with all products in the Clifton Bio range, the NE6-FC flow chiller comes with a three year warranty.
