The Eclipse TE2000 series of inverted microscope are designed to accommodate motorised options.
These can easily be retrofitted to allow control through a PC so enabling a variety of applications that require remote control, such as time-lapse imaging, confocal microscopy, cell life-time monitoring applications.
Motorised functions include objective switching using the six-position nosepiece, control of the precision-stage, system condenser, epi-fluorescence filter cube switching, epi-fluorescence shutter, DIC analyser, excitation filter wheel and barrier filter wheel. Users can select a variety of motorised functions to suit specific research methods using a dedicated communications hub controller.
Remote control can be further exploited by specialised software designed for specific imaging techniques. When using the C1 confocal imaging system, for example, motorised options can be driven through the C1's control software, and with the Zem telepathology system software, motorised controls can accessed by remote users enabling remote robotic control of the microscope.
The versatility of the Eclipse TE2000-E inverted research microscopes enables multiple imaging techniques. Multiport design provides optical input and output of light and images, from a wide variety of illumination and detector equipment.
CCTV cameras, high sensitivity detectors, digital still cameras and SLRs can be used in any combination, separately or simultaneously.
