Complete platform for quantitative detection of light emitting or light absorbing markers, offering a true solution for cell and microbiology assays
At BioAnalytica 2003, PerkinElmer Life and Analytical Sciences introduced its new Victor3 family of multilabel microplate readers.
The Victor3 is a complete platform for quantitative detection of light emitting or light absorbing markers, offering a true solution for cell and microbiology assays, binding studies, Delfia assays, and more.
The Victor3 is the successor to PerkinElmer's Victor2 family, well known for its performance and reliability with over 3000 units installed in academic, biotech and pharmaceutical labs worldwide.
Victor3 introduces new capabilities into the Victor platform, including an enhanced security option software mode to support 21 CFR Part 11 compliance and UV absorbance capabilities for direct quantification of DNA and proteins.
Victor3 multilabel readers are available for technologies including fluorescence, luminescence, time-resolved fluorescence (TRF), fluorescence polarisation (FP) and UV absorbance.
A series of power accessories extend the versatility of the Victor family by adding dispensers, temperature control, barcode readers and microplate stackers for increased performance.
"The new Victor3 is a fully updated platform that offers labs a powerful, cost-efficient system for multilabel detection," said Paul Gillyon, vice president and general manager, biopharmaceutical, PerkinElmer Life and Analytical Sciences.
"This highly versatile system offers a flexible upgrade path, both with its ability to add plate reading technologies - such as TRF, fluorescence polarisation or UV absorbance - to base systems, or to buy a reader fully configured with these features.
Victor3 incorporates all our knowledge of multi-technology research plate readers into a single instrument, and further strengthens our commitment to continuously developing our offerings to meet the needs of customers in the ever-changing pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries." The Victor3 will be exhibited at booth A6-181/280 during BioAnalytica 2003.
