PL-AAEM (acetoacetoxyethyl ketoester) resin is an innovative styrene/methacrylate copolymer matrix giving high load ketoester functionality.
While the resin is designed to selectively scavenge primary amines in the presence of secondary amines, it can however be used in both polar and non-polar solvents.
A typical application of this resin would be work-up of reductive amination reactions to remove residual unreacted primary amine. PL-AAEM resin is an addition to Polymer Laboratories's reproducible StratoSphere product range and complements the existing electrophilic scavenger products PL-NCO, PL-MIA, PL-CHO and PL-SO2Cl resins.
