Violet laser diode system expanded to include 10mW high-power version, developed specifically for materials processing and materials characterisation applications
Point Source has released the latest addition to its range of Iflex-2000 fibre coupled lasers, a 10mW version of the 405nm violet laser diode system.
The laser features 10mW delivered from the end of a singlemode polarisation-maintaining optical fibre. The Iflex-2000 is the only OEM laser on the market to feature a constant power mode of CW operation at these power levels.
The laser has been developed specifically for materials processing and materials characterisation applications where higher powers at 405nm were required.
Biomedical instrumentation excitation schemes that incorporate wide field illumination will also benefit from the higher power now available.
