Lasers delivering powerful picosecond pulses are useful sources for biomedical analytics, optical time domain tomography and other time-resolved applications
PicoQuant presents the Pico-TA 110, a high power pulsed laser source for the red and infrared wavelength range that has been developed in cooperation with Toptica Photonics.
The system comprises a pulsed seed-laser and tapered amplifier in a master oscillator power amplifier (Mopa) configuration.
Easy to use lasers delivering powerful picosecond pulses are useful sources for biomedical analytics, optical time domain tomography as well as for other time-resolved applications like fluorescence spectroscopy or luminescence spectroscopy of semiconductors.
The system produces light pulses down to 100ps at an adjustable repetition rate, also the amplification of the master laser peak power can be adjusted by more than a factor of ten.
A maximum peak power of 30W is achievable at 780nm.
The actual wavelength depends on the selected laser oscillator module, different variants are available covering the range between 760 and 1060nm. The device is not only available as a stand-alone unit but also as an extension for existing laser sources.
Optional features are a PC control interface and a fibre coupled output.
Another additional feature currently developed is a module generating second-harmonic radiation which will also offer pulses in the green spectral range.
