TEC laser diode modules produce an elliptical or circular output beam and offer exceptional wavelength and power stability, greater pointing accuracy, and increased lifetime
Photonic Products is launching a range of thermo-electrically cooled, (TEC), laser diode modules offering exceptional wavelength and power stability, (better than 1%), greater pointing accuracy and significantly increased laser diode lifetime.
The 300-0600-00 series of thermo-electrically cooled, (TEC), laser diode modules produce an elliptical or circular output beam and output power of 1.5mW in the 375nm ultra-violet wavelength band, 4mW and 25mW in the 405nm violet wavelength band, 4mW in the 440nm blue wavelength band, 0.9mW to 32mW in the 635nm red wavelength band, 50mW to 55mW in the 785nm infrared wavelength band and 20mW to 120mW in the 830nm infrared wavelength band.
Designed for applications demanding consistency and repeatability such as machine vision, alignment, industrial inspection, high-resolution printing, biomedical instrumentation, spectroscopy, microscopy and genomics, the TEC modules are compact, versatile and highly cost effective.
The TEC laser diode modules incorporate microprocessor based temperature control electronics, thermo electric cooler, heatsink and fan that enable the laser diode temperature to be controlled to a set point temperature from +15C to +25C, (user adjustable), and with a stability of +/-0.05C.
This accurate temperature control, together with user adjustment of the laser diode drive current enables the laser to be tuned to a region where mode hopping and RMS noise are significantly reduced or eliminated.
Accurate temperature control also produces excellent wavelength/power stability and cooling the laser diode to the factory set 20C significantly increases laser diode lifetime.
All UV, violet, blue, red, and infrared TEC laser diode modules in the range offer low and high temperature automatic shut-off protection, analogue and digital modulation capability and safety interlock as standard.
