Proteome Systems has introduced its intelligent electrophoresis platform comprising two innovative and fully integrated systems, IsoelectrIQ2 and ElectrophoretIQ3.
These systems build on well established electrophoresis techniques, integrating cutting edge industrial design and modern information technology giving proteomics researchers easy access to a new level of protein separation and array solutions which will maximise the output from mass spectrometry analysis.
IsoelectrIQ2 features liquid phase isoelectric fractionation and isoelectric focusing in IPGs. ElectrophoretIQ3 features isoelectric focusing in IPGs, second dimension electrophoresis and semi-dry blotting.
The new instruments interface with other Proteome Systems technology in downstream protein digestion and mass spectrometry.
Proteome Systems know-how enhances the high throughput in-gel digestion, sample concentration and desalting prior to mass spectrometry, in the new Millipore Montage In-Gel DigestZP Kit, including the ZipPlate Micro-SPE Plate.
Proteome Systems's new refrigerated blotting technology solutions, available on the ElectrophoretIQ3, will interface and support the revolutionary ChIP technology, jointly developed by Proteome Systems and Shimadzu, which will be available later this year.
The new electrophoresis systems offer computer controlled functionality, advanced multi-channel internal power supplies, cooling, and graphical real-time control and monitoring.
They enable high throughput and flexibility by conducting multiple experiments simultaneously with independent control.
Together with a full line of specially designed consumables and kits the systems provide a comprehensive solution for two-dimensional gel electrophoresis.
Both systems are network-ready and integrate with Proteome Systems's informatics solution, BioinformatIQ, to provide automatic data capture.
