Ueful for high-end OEM instrumentation and analytical applications, including laser-induced fluorescence, spectroscopy, interferometry, microscopy, and biomedical analysis
Now available from Power Technology is the redesigned IQ laser diode module.
This new instrument quality unit not only offers significant improvements over the original, but it also serves as a drop-in replacement to provide a flawless transition for existing users, says the company.
Improvements include increased stability and efficiency.
The redesigned IQ operates on 5VDC, as opposed to the higher 12V operating voltage of the original.
A lower operating voltage translates into less waste heat within the laser module and, therefore, increased diode lifetime, efficiency, and reliability.
Another benefit: the redesigned IQ offers a wider thermal operating range.
The company has made several mechanical improvements to the IQ.
These developments, combined with the reduction in waste heat, yield a module that can operate at a much wider temperature range.
In addition, the redesigned IQ provides improved pointing stability.
Power Technology has incorporated several optical enhancements to yield significant improvements in pointing stability.
As always, the IQ module comes equipped with a precision current source and a PID temperature controller.
These advanced temperature control mechanisms help make the redesigned IQ the ideal solution for applications requiring stability of power, temperature, and wavelength.
The module is especially useful for high-end OEM instrumentation and analytical applications, including laser-induced fluorescence, spectroscopy, interferometry, high-resolution printing, microscopy, and biomedical analysis. The IQ can host laser diodes with wavelengths in the UV, visible, and IR and can operate in CW mode or with analogue or TTL modulation.
The IQ is available with an elliptical or circularised beam.
