Water purification unit provides both grade 2 purified water at up to 14 litres per hour, and up to one litre per minute of ultrapure water for precision processes
Purite launched a new all-in-one purification system that offers laboratories dual grade quality water.
Called Select Fusion, the new system is said to be unique in that it has been designed to provide both grade 2 purified water and ultrapure water (18.2 Megohm) from a single unit, offering fast dispensing rates and enhanced flexibility for laboratories.
Incorporating an integral tank with a capacity of 20 litres, Select Fusion can supply grade 2 water up to 14 litres per hour at 10C for a range of general laboratory applications such as buffer and media preparation as well as reagent make up.
In addition, the system is capable of providing up to one litre per minute of ultrapure water (18.2 Megohm) by means of a high purity dispenser, for processes such as ion chromatography, AAS, ICP-MS and electrophoresis. Traditionally, ultrapure water is provided by means of a reverse osmosis unit followed by a polisher; with Select Fusion, 18.2 Megohm water can be produced direct from the mains water supply, without the need for additional pre-treatment.
Available in three models - 40, 80 and 160 - the Select Fusion range incorporates integral TOC and resistivity monitoring with alarm points, and has constant water recirculation to maintain high water purity. The Select Fusion all-in-one system has a small footprint and can be both wall or bench mounted, making it particularly suitable for use in laboratories where space is at a premium.
The system features three dispense modes: latched, manual and preset with a menu driven graphical display with mimic, for ease of use. Furthermore, the system incorporates easy change, disposable purification packs, making the process of replacing consumables quick and simple.
