Combination of fast streaming video and high resolution still imaging for applications requiring analysis of an image in real time followed by quality still image capture
The Infinity X is a new camera from DeltaPix capable of fast streaming video at high resolution on the computer monitor as well as outstanding resolutions on still images The camera is based around a 1.3 megapixel sensor with Red, Green and Blue filters in standard Bayer pattern.
DeltaPix's patent pending DeltaVu technology shifts the sensor by fractions of a pixel, capturing extra images at each location to build up an image with 21 million pixels for each colour.
Connection to a PC is via a single fast USB 2.0 cable which provides power to the camera as well as control and data acquisition functions and the following streaming video rates are supported: 1280x1024 pixels at 15 frames/sec; 1024x768 pixels at 24 frames/sec; 800x600 pixels at 37 frames/sec; 640x480 pixels at 60 frames/sec.
The combination of fast streaming video and high resolution still imaging is ideal for applications requiring analysis of an image in real time followed by production quality still image capture of the region of interest.
The camera is supplied complete with software to carry out both tasks plus a Twain driver for integration with third party imaging applications.
