High temperature liquid chromatography specialist will unveil total temperature controller at Analytica, Munich, May 2004
High temperature liquid chromatography (HTLC) specialist Selerity Technologies unveils its Polaratherm oven, a total temperature controller comprising a standalone column compartment, at Analytica, Munich, Germany, 11-14 May 2004.
Selerity recently concluded a distribution agreement with the Research Institute For Chromatography (RIC) ensuring the highest levels of customer service and technical support, including expert consulting are available to its European customers.
Selerity's Polaratherm is a flexible solution and enables more accessible high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method development for routine analysis in the modern laboratory.
Particularly suited for analysing heavy compounds low in water solubility, which require a mobile phase mixture higher in organic concentration, Polaratherm considerably improves work results, enables faster run times, increases efficiency and maximises productivity. In-built safety features, complete with vapour detectors, automatic pump shutdown and watchdog monitoring software, are said to ensure Polaratherm's reliability and performance. Targeted at the pharmaceutical industry, the instrument also comprises communications, which are compatible and can be seamlessly integrated with any existing high performance chromatograph.
Selerity will also display its Blaze columns at Analytica.
With polydentate polymer protecting the silica surface, these columns are configured for HTLC to remedy previous deficiencies and minimise column degradation.
They safeguard silica particles against hydrolytic breakdown providing an efficient and stable column at high temperatures.
The Selerity Blaze polydentate phase protects the silanol groups against attacks.
The polymer attaches to the silica structure at a number of points forming a protective cap over the hydrolytically unstable siloxane groups.
