Sigma-Genosys, a division of Sigma-Aldrich, reports that its new customised 2000m2 oligonucleotide production site in Haverhill near Cambridge, UK, is now fully functional, enabling it to deliver high quality, custom oligos in 24 hours.
The new facility enables Sigma-Genosys to guarantee that 95% of orders are delivered within 24 hours.
In the Cambridge area the company can offer a delivery same day by taxi service.
Sigma-Genosys operates two complementary manufacturing systems in parallel at the new Haverhill site.
The new facility, which has been ISO 9001:2000 certified, is controlled via sophisticated Lims software and quality is guaranteed thorough the use of mass spectrometry and electrophoretic testing.
Commenting on the new facility, Richard Pembrey, European sales development manager at Sigma-Genosys said: "Customer service and product quality is vital in the oligonucleotide business.
