Southern Scientific has introduced to the UK a new version of the popular 6150AD series of hand-held, gamma radiation dose/doserate meters that is fully certified, intrinsically safe and approved for use in areas containing explosive hazards.
Known as the 6150AD5/Ex, it has a range of up to 1Sv/h reading in ambient dose equivalent quantity, H*(10) and for lower dose/doserate applications an intrinsically safe probe and cable can be attached with a range of 0-10mSv/h.
Southern Scientific believes this is the most up-to-date portable processor-based monitor on the market.
It has a high visibility back lit LCD display, audible warning and non-volatile dose storage.
The 6150AD series is well proven and popular with many operators in the UK having been in day to day use.
