The ProTeam Digest works on protein samples, extracted from 2D electrophoresis gels, to provide researchers with fully automated in-gel digest, peptide elution and Maldi-MS plate spotting procedures.
Supplied with a range of validated protocols, the ProTeam Digest requires minimal user intervention, minimising the risk of contamination and producing highly reproducible results. With the whole process taking place in 96 well plates the ProTeam Digest represents an elegant link between (2D) gel electrophoresis and Maldi mass spectrometry.
With Digestion and Maldi plate spotting performed on a single platform the ProTeam Digest increases productivity as there is no need to transport plates between several instruments.
Based upon Tecan's Genesis liquid handling platform the system provides improved positioning precision for Maldi plate spotting resulting in improved sensitivity and reproducibility.
The ProTeam Digest can also be customised to meet the specific requirements and protocols of individual proteomics laboratories.
