The new PG580 is a fully portable, hand held electrochemical analyser for both laboratory use and the in-field development of electrochemical sensor technologies
The new PG580 Electrochemical Analyser from Uniscan Instruments represents a new philosophy in research electrochemistry test and measurement instrumentation.
This new computer controlled potentiostat/galvanostat is a fully portable, hand held electrochemical analyser, the design of which, provides a user configurable instrument for laboratory use, and the in-field development of electrochemical sensor technologies.
The PG580 can be used connected to a PC for advanced experiments, where standard electrochemical techniques such as cyclic and linear voltammetry, chronoamperometry, square wave and differential pulse voltammetry can be executed.
The parameters and data display is implemented on the PC in a flexible, Windows based software application.
Thanks to its rechargeable battery pack, the PG580 can also be used independently of the PC and mains power.
In this mode of operation the user can programme the PG580 to perform a specific measurement technique via the Windows software on a PC.
The experimental parameters and the user display characteristics are programmed and downloaded to the on-board memory of the PG580.
The instrument will then operate as a field based unit, repeatedly performing the user's defined measurement and analysis algorithm, and storing the data for future use.
Up to 5 working electrodes or sensors can be multiplexed with the instrument.
