The DK digesters are designed to operate in accordance with standard analytical procedures, for food, feed and environmental analysis: AOAC, EPA, DIN, ISO.
The DK6 and DK20 have six and 20 positions respectively to hold 42mm diameter glass digestion tubes.
This allows the DK6 digester to digest up to six samples and the DK 20 to digest up to 20 samples at a time.
The DK digesters, when used in connection with the JP recirculating water vacuum pump and the SMS scrubber, create a system that completely removes any digestion fumes generated without the need of a fume hood.
The system is ideal for all standard digestions of aqueous solutions and solid samples, including digestions for Kjeldahl determination of nitrogen and protein content.
The DK6 and DK20 digesters produce uniform, reproducible and safe digestions whilst saving space and reagents.
The DK digesters conform with GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) programming, allowing the insertion of data relative to the tests in execution.
This data can include date and hour, laboratory name, operator name and number, sample name, lot number and digestion parameters.
The parameters can be subsequently sent to a printer or PC for storage.
It is possible to select up to 20 different working programs.
Each program can contain up to four temperatures and related times.
This allows a digestion to be lead gradually from room temperature to the digestion temperature, normally 420C, avoiding accidental sample loss due to temperamental samples and over-aggressive digestions.
Due to the innovative electronic microprocessor in the DK digesters, the software may be upgraded to future versions via PC.
The digesters are constructed from materials that are very resistant to chemical attack and the heating block, which is controlled by microprocessor electronics, is made of materials that give optimal thermal homogeneity throughout the temperature range. This results in excellent precision and repeatability.
