Manufacturer of real-time microfocus x-ray systems announcea the appointment of sales and marketing manager with global responsibilities
X-Tek Systems, a manufacturer of real-time microfocus x-ray systems, has announced the appointment of Paul Ramsay to the newly-created position of sales and marketing manager with global responsibilities.
Paul Ramsay's appointment signals the company's ambition for significant sales growth through greater penetration of global markets in the key regions of Europe, North America and Asia.
With the greatest proportion of X-Tek systems' past and future sales being for x-ray inspection of electronic assemblies, PCBs, BGA solder joints and IC packaging, his extensive knowledge of and deep experience in global electronic markets will prove especially valuable.
With over 12 years experience in the electronics industry, Paul has worked in a variety of sales and marketing roles including spells with LTX, one of the world's largest suppliers of semiconductor test equipment.
He was also director of Asian Sales and then director of East Coast and Asian sales at Quad Systems, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
In addition to the electronics industries, Paul will also be working closely with X-Tek Systems's global network of distributors to increase sales of systems for a wide range of applications including non destructive testing (NDT), automotive, aerospace, pharmaceutical, military and scientific research.
Commenting on the new appointment, Peter Marsh, managing director of X-Tek Systems said: "Paul's appointment is a significant step forward in our plans to ensure X-Tek keeps on achieving its ambitious sales objectives in the highly competitive global market for quality x-ray inspection systems.
His understanding of our customers' needs and excellent global contacts have already begun to pay dividends by generating significant orders from customers in new markets."
