Informatics system provides a fully flexible and customisable environment with software and database tools that encompass the areas of spectroscopy, chemistry, and in silico Adme/Tox profiling
Bio-Rad Laboratories has extended its Powered by KnowItAll programme to the analytical chemistry/spectroscopy market segment.
Now, it says, analytical instrument companies can deliver fully customised solutions based on a combination of KnowItAll products.
The KnowItAll informatics system is a fully flexible and customisable informatics environment with software and database tools that encompass the areas of spectroscopy, chemistry, and in silico Adme/Tox profiling.
Because of its unique architecture, the KnowItAll system may be compiled in multiple combinations of software applications and/or database formulations, enabling KnowItAll partners to create and tailor their own toolsets accordingly.
This custom application development approach provides several options to Powered by KnowItAll partners, including selection from over 20 standard applications (including structure drawing, reporting, analysis, data management, and data mining), instrumentation integration, and custom interface options.
"The Powered by KnowItAll programme enables our partners to quickly add the technology that they need for their business using a combination of out-of-the box and custom applications.
"Our software and database tools are sure to be an asset to all those who wish to enhance or supplement their current offerings, and we look forward to providing partners with all the technical possibilities and business efficiencies that this programme can bring to their organisation," said Gregory Banik, Bio-Rad's general manager of informatics.
The Powered by KnowItAll programme is already being used in the drug discovery market.
In 2004, Lighthouse Data Solutions launched the Adme Index, a database product that contains measured Adme (absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion) properties.
Using components from the Powered by KnowItAll application toolbox, Bio-Rad created a custom software application for exclusive distribution by Lighthouse as an out-of-the-box bundle to accompany its Adme Index database.
