Sigma has launched a new protein extract array for identifying differentially expressed proteins in various species' tissues.
Panorama mouse/rat tissue extract protein array provides a reliable platform for the rapid evaluation of serum, hybridoma supernatant, ascites fluid, purified antibody, or fractionated sera.
The mouse and rat tissue proteins spotted are extracts of total tissue as well as nuclear and cytoplasmic cell fractions.
Each tissue extract and its fractions are spotted in three concentrations.
"Analysing the genome at the protein level is a critical element in understanding gene function.
"The Panorama mouse/rat tissue extract protein array aids in this understanding by providing a platform that allows simultaneous identification of a single protein in different protein extracts," said Alicia Pruett, product manager, array technology.
"Our array is compatible with chemiluminescent or fluorescent-based detection methods resulting in a semi-quantitative protein expression profile in about five hours."
