Pro-Lite Technology is offering a free software utility, Radiant Imaging's Colour Calculator 1.0, that performs a variety of useful colorimetric and photometric calculations and conversions.
The calculator provides a simple means of plotting data points on a CIE 1931 or 1976 chromaticity chart.
It can be used to calculate the colour difference between two points on the CIE chart and to graph the spectral power distributions for a variety of light sources (blackbody, incandescent, LED).
The calculator can also be used to transform colorimetric data between various colour models, such as CIE (x,y), (u,v) and (u',v').
Colour Calculator also converts most common illuminance and luminance units (for example, candela per square meter to nits).
The software also includes reference definitions for photometric parameters such as luminance, illuminance, luminous flux and luminous intensity.
Colour Calculator 1.0 is compatible with Windows 98/XP/NT/2000.
It is available for download from Pro-Lite's website.
