Thermo Electron announces the 5000th customer order of its ARL 3460 optical emission (OE) spectrometer.
It says the ARL 3460 has become a benchmark for metals analysis, with customers regularly purchasing or upgrading to new models - a testament to their trust in the instrument's quality and reliability.
Continued technological innovations and refinements have driven customer demand and the instrument's longevity.
The landmark order, received from the Araucaria plant of Gerdau in Brazil, demonstrates Thermo's continued leadership of this market while remaining at the forefront of innovation, it says.
Gerdau is the largest producer of long steel in America, with mills in the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Canada and Uruguay.
At launch in 1982 the ARL 3460 OE revolutionised the way analyses were performed, and for more than 20 years has provided metals customers with uncompromising development and expert design and manufacture, while keeping abreast of the latest technological improvements.
Thermo was recently presented with two Omega NorthFace ScoreBoard awards for excellence in customer service.
This award winning customer service coupled with expert technical support has also helped ensure that customers are able to adapt and exploit the ARL 3460's capabilities to their best advantage.
