The Life Sciences Instrumentation and Software Network was established in May 2005 as an industry cluster of 15 Irish-based technology firms with a mission to deliver a comprehensive source of instrumentation and software solutions to the global life science (biotechnology, medical device and pharmaceutical) sector.
The LIS network is composed of 15 technology suppliers delivering solutions which include breathing apparatus, consumables, contained sampling and analysers, fire detection, gas detection, gas analysers, identification and control systems, industrial weighing, lab chemicals and reagents, laboratory liquid analysis, on-line liquid analysis, oxygen analysers, refrigerant monitoring, voice alarm annunciation systems, calibration software, computer systems validation, electronic laboratory notebook, enterprise compliance management, maintenance software, manufacturing execution software, manufacturing intelligence platform, process control and visualisation software, risk management software.
Enterprise Ireland will be supporting some of these companies with group stands in two halls at Achema 2006: Instrumentation, Control and Automation; and Laboratory and Analytical Techniques.
Achema 2006, the triennial show for the global chemical processing markets, will be held i Frankfurt from 15-19 May 2006.
At the last show in 2003, almost 200,000 visitors and over 3800 exhibitors attended.
Almost 3000 exhibitors have already booked space for 2006, including over 150 from UK and Ireland.
Over 900 abstracts have also been submitted for the parallel congress.
