Two new eBooks covering the careers of clinical research associate (CRA) and clinical trial administrator (CTA) are available for free download
The Institute of Clinical Research (ICR) has announced the launch of two new eBooks (called 'To be a CRA' and 'To be a CTA') and five monographs from its career development series.
To Be a CRA is a must for anyone wanting to know more about the pharmaceutical industry and the role of a clinical research associate, while To Be a CTA aims to provide ideas, information and guidance to anyone who might be interested in becoming a clinical trial administrator.
Both titles are free to download on the ICR website.
The five monographs cover communication and presentation skills, managing your own professional development, management and leadership essentials, assertiveness, negotiation and influencing skills and writing and reviewing skills.
Available as a set or individually, the series is designed to enhance members' professional and personal skill sets and is written by qualified authors to equip readers with timely and immediately applicable skills for the workplace.
ICR Publishing releases a wide range of clinical research books to promote the professional development of clinical researchers and in 2006, ICR Publishing will offer all monographs as eBooks, as a purchase option apart from print, via its website.
This development ties in with the recent agreement with the virtual bookshop Ellibs.
Ellibs offers a virtual bookshop for public and university libraries, allowing them to purchase eBooks to increase their stock for use by patrons.
Order forms are available for hard copies and publications are also available to download direct to a computer desktop.
