SCIpharm is a biennial event run by the Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) for the international pharmaceutical industry.
SCIpharm 2004 laid the foundations and with SCIpharm 2006, SCI aims to establish this as a flagship event of international standing.
Its distinctive and comprehensive format encompasses the latest scientific innovation in each stage of the pharmaceutical pipeline, says SCI.
Strong commercial content is relevant to every aspect of the business.
An international line up of speakers is drawn from both industry and academia.
Looking forward to SCIpharm 2006, Andrew Ladds, general secretary and chief executive of SCI, said: "this prestigious event encapsulates SCI's prime objective of bringing chemical science and business together.
"Through our ability to create meaningful networks, we are able to drive the process of knowledge exchange through the assembly of key opinion formers and leaders in the pharmaceutical sector".
SCIpharm is gaining a reputation as an industry highlight because of the quality of the speakers and the presentation of coherent case studies that help to shed light and understanding on the pressing issues affecting the pharmaceutical industry, says SCI.
SCIpharm 2006 will offer conference sessions, a trade exhibition and networking opportunities.
With five plenary sessions, and more than 100 international experts presenting their views and technology, attendees will have access to all four tracks spanning the pharma pipeline.
Biotech companies will present their credentials in the biotech company showcase, and the exhibition will provide an ideal opportunity for companies to meet clients and customers from around the world.
More than 50 technology and service providers are expected in the exhibition hall, with a full programme of product demonstrations, on-stand activities, one-to-one meetings and networking events.
A scientific poster session will be integrated within the exhibition with a variety of prizes being awarded during the event.
Delegates are invited to submit posters focusing on new scientific or technical knowledge relevant to drug discovery and development.
