The addition of all content published between January 1960 and December 1969 includes 53,069 articles from 522 issues
Another decade of Nature issues has been added to the online archive.
Nature is currently digitising the archives back to 1950.
Content is being released in installments of ten years until completion in late 2006.
When complete, the Nature archive will contain 2,399 issues (volumes 283 - 384), and approximately 154,500 articles.
The Nature archives provide online access to a wealth of premier editorial information previously published only in print format.
All editorial content from the print issues is available including articles and letters, review material, news and views, news and comment, literature and essays, plus supplements.
All images have been included when available within online copyright.
When converting print articles into integrated online files, NPG has applied all the online functionality today's researchers expect from a web resource.
Each article includes HTML abstract, PDF version of full article, and hyperlinked references using abstracting services of CrossRef, Medline, and ISI including the ISI Web of Science.
As an integrated part of the NPG online platform, the Nature archive has excellent searching capability and integration with current content from across the NPG portfolio.
Access to Nature is available to institutions with a site licence, providing access to all issues from January 1997 to the present issue.
Access to the Nature archive (January 1987 - December 1996) and the Nature archive (January 1950 - December 1986) is available with signed addenda.
The final installment of the Nature archive (January 1950 - December 1986), which will include all content published between 1950 and 1959, will be delivered in fall/autumn 2006.
