The new Draeger Pac 7000 personal single gas monitor is tailor made for constant use in potentially hazardous workplace environments
Small and robust, ergonomic and intuitive, the new Draeger Pac 7000 personal single gas monitor is also both powerful and economic to use.
Equipped with a wide range of functions and suitable for many different applications, the Pac 7000 offers a high level of reliability and fast warning against harmful concentrations of carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphide or oxygen.
Featuring a back-lit, language-free, liquid crystal display which continuously shows warning functions as well as the gas concentration in large numerals and symbols, this compact unit incorporates the new Draeger XXS sensors.
These sensors, which feature a long lifespan, ensure extremely short electrochemical reaction times and enable the unit to respond immediately to any gas hazard.
Protected by an impact resistant housing complete with a protective rubber coating that is also resistant to corrosive chemicals, the PAC 7000 meets the requirements of IP65 and is fitted with a rotating crocodile clip for secure fastening.
Inside the housing, the sensor has been carefully positioned to allow gas to be detected from above and from in front, thereby minimising the dangers associated with the gas inlet being accidentally covered.
Equipped with vibrational, visual and two-tone audible alarms which are activated as soon as the threshold levels are reached, or if the oxygen levels fall below the set value, the Pac 7000 also emits an alarm at the end of the battery capacity or in the event of a device error.
For maximum reliability, the display features a bump test icon that informs the user as and when a function test is required.
The bump test period can be adjusted by the user and performed either manually or automatically via straightforward menu selection, the result being stored in the event logger.
This can be easily carried out with a Draeger Bump Test station.
In addition, configuration, downloading of the event logger, and fresh air and span calibration can all be carried out quickly and easily via the IR (infra-red) interface, and the event logger is able to store all concentrations and events together with their respective dates and times.
The intervals at which peak concentrations are saved are variable and can be adjusted by the user.
If a one-minute interval is set, for example, the data logger has a capacity of around five days.
Downloading the stored data, complete with date and time, can be carried out via a PC using Pac Vision or Draeger CC Vision and can be edited using Draeger Gas Vision or Microsoft Excel software.
An adjustable operating timer function can also be accessed to allow changes to a number of specific operations such as calibration interval, inspection interval or individual operating time end.
