CelCoat's unique selectivity is similar to that of older chiral columns, but it has a decreased dependence on the use of buffer and an increased dynamic solvent strength range.
The packing is custom designed to allow better correlation to polarity - greatly improving its selectivity and resolution capabilities.
CelCoat is enhanced to give higher efficiencies for certain targets - reducing chiral column costs, the amount of solvent used and time taken to achieve rapid chiral separations.
It possesses greater pressure stability than historic coated cellulose phases and can be easily converted for universal application (normal, polar organic or reverse phase).
Research has shown that methods developed on chiral columns often achieve superior resolution with CelCoat.
